In India, Rohit Sharma (83) and Shubman Gill (70) set a solid foundation. The opening duo scored 143 runs from the start after Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka won a draw. Kasun Rajitha picked 3 wickets but in a spell of 10 overs, he leaked 88 runs. During the Sri Lanka chase, Dasun Shanaka (108*), Pathum Nissanka (72), and Dhanan Jayade He Silva (47) showed good resilience but could not avoid defeat.
