The IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (iDTT) won the match against Salem Spartans by 32 runs at SNR College Cricket Ground on Wednesday. iDTT won the toss and decided to bat first. The iDTT scored 135/5 in 20 overs. The pacer S Mohan Prasath(3/11 of 4 overs), M Mohammed (2/31 of 4 overs), S Arvind (2/12 of 4 overs) wreaked havoc to bundle out Salem Spartans for 103 in 19.2 overs. S Anirudha scored highest (32 off 22 balls; 4 fours, 1 six) from iDTT side.
S Arvind, the iDTT’s pacer bagged player of the match award for {25 runs off 30 balls, 2 fours, 1 sixe) and (4-0-12-2)}. He came to pitch as opener with S Anirudh both scored 57 in 52 balls from their bat. In this order M Bafina (29 off 29 not out), P Francis, Rajkumar scored respectively 17 and 11 runs. iDTT’s Skipper Mohammed scored 9runs not out with the highest 180 strike rate, he also booked two Spartans through bowling.
The night match (20 overs) was played between both (iDTT vs Salem Spartans) at SNR College Ground in Coimbatore on Wednesday. All bowlers squandered run in the first inning as their team elected to field first after the toss. Then after batters also could not done anything special and were all out for 103 in the second inning while the chasing target of 136.
Ravi Karthikeyan scored highest from Spartan side. Then, S Ganesh and R Kavin scored respectively 19, 14 runs. In-spite above no one Spartans batter could touch the two digit. Their team lost the match as result of 32 runs.
