Hockey India selects 39 men’s players for National Training Camp

The core group selected by FIH for the national training camp includes Krishan Bahadur Pathak, Sreejesh Parattu Raveendran, Suraj Karkera, Pawan Malik, Prashant Kumar, Jarmanpreet Singh. Others are Surender Kumar, Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Amit Rohidas, Gurinder Singh, Jugraj Singh. The list also includes Mandeep Mor, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Sanjay, Yashdeep Siwach, and Dipsan Tirkey. Also Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Shamsher Singh, Nilakanta Sharma, Rajkumar Pal, Sumit, AkashdeepSingh, Gurjant Singh, Mohd. Raheel Mouseen, Maninder Singh, S Karthi, Mandeep Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Abhishek, Dilpreet Singh, Sekhmet Singh, Simranjeet Singh, Shilanand Lakra, Manjeet, Pawan Rajbhar belong to the main group.

The Indian men’s hockey team currently sits at the top of the pool table in the FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-23. This is due to the notching impressive victories over reigning world champions Germany and Australia in recent games in Rourkela. India has accumulated 19 points from 8 games so far this season, with captain Harmanpreet Singh becoming the league’s top scorer with 11 goals.Now Spain follows India with 17 points in 8 games. Argentina is third with 13 points in 12 games.

For the national training camp, the Indian men’s group will report to guardian coaches David John, BJ Kariappa, and Shivendra Singh.
