Under this policy, Hockey India will award the playing members of the men’s and women’s teams Rs. 50,000 per year and the coaches Rs. 25000 per victory. Indian Hockey players came ahead of a busy season when Hockey India announced a new policy on Sunday where both men’s and women’s team members and support staff would receive annual financial incentives. I received a big boost.

According to the policy, Hockey India will award Rs.50,000 per year to its members playing both men’s and women’s teams and Rs.25,000 each to coaches for each victory recorded by an Indian team.

Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said in a press release.

We are confident that this announcement will boost the morale of the Indian team as they prepare for the prestigious World Cup and Asian Games in January. Such incentives will encourage more young people to play hockey,

The board had previously announced Rs.20 lakh for every player. Rs.1 million to every coach of the Indian junior team after winning the 10th Sultan of Johor Cup titles.

Hockey India’s Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh described this as a “pioneering decision” and said: Being successful can become an economically viable sport.
