Reports about death of former Zimbabwe cricketer Heath Streak turned out to be fake after his former teammate Henry Olonga verified that the 49- year-old is actually alive.
Revealing that they had a talk, Olonga wrote on X, formerly Twitter “ I can confirm that rumors of the demise of Heath Streak have been greatly bloated. I just heard from him. The third arbiter has called him back. He’s actually important alive folks. ”
Apropos, it was Olonga who had broken the news of Streak’s demise on social media.
The band is witnessing treatment under one of the most prestigious oncologists in South Africa, his family revealed in May.
The band retired from professional justice in 2005 after registering 1990 runs at a normal of 22.35 while also claiming 216 lattices at a normal of 28.14 in Test justice.

In white-ball series, Heath amassed 2,943 runs and has 239 lattices to his credit. Still, Band was expelled from the sport in 2021 after it was discovered that he’d violated the anti-corruption guidelines of the International Cricket Council.
He also served in leading places for several brigades at domestic and transnational positions, including Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and the Kolkata Knight Riders.
