After sweeping England team in the recently concluded 3-match T20I series by 3-0, a few players of the Indian team have left their current spot to achieve something even better in the ICC rankings. Who are those, let’s have a look,
Harmanpreet Kaur –
Harmanpreet Kaur’s consistent performance so far has led her to jump four spots in the ICC Women’s ODI ranking and speaking of her current position, she sits at the fifth position with 716 ICC rating points.
Smriti Mandhana – The opener batswoman, Smriti Mandhana, following the footsteps of her captain Harmanpreet, has jumped one position up and sits at the sixth spot of the ICC Women’s ODI ranking with 714 rating points. This achievement from her is a result of her recent performance in the IWC series between West Indies and New Zealand, lately.
Deepti Sharma – Who doesn’t know Deepti Sharma now. Why we are saying so is primarily because, in the recently concluded third match against England, she took Charlotte Dean, the allrounder by surprise by making her run out at the non-striker’s end. But Deepti Sharma’s achievement doesn’t come just because of this play but again from her performance at the IWC series which led her to jump 8 spots and sit on the 24th position in the ICC women’s ODI bowling ranking.
Pooja Vastrakar&Harleen Deol – Both allrounders jointly are sitting at 49th position of the ICC bowling ODI rankings jumping four places.
Jhulan Goswami – Now the retired pacer, who was in her 40s, Jhulan Goswami after her tremendous contribution of 20 years to Indian cricket has led her to achieve not only endless trophies but also a place at number five in the ICC women’s ODI ranking.
Speaking of the first position in all the three categories of cricket, it would be Alyssa Healy from Australia with 785 ICC rating points in ODI for batting, from bowling it is the England’s Sophie Ecclestone with 739 ICC rating points, and not the least from the allrounder’s category, it is Hayley Mathews from West Indies with 380 ICC rating points
