With Pandya unavailable for the ODIs, the captaincy role may fall on KL Rahul or Shubman Gill. Rahul, who led India in the last ODI series in South Africa, and Gill, who recently led India to a 4-1 win over Zimbabwe, are being considered for the captaincy.
