The former BCCI acting secretary and joint secretary of JSCA (Jharkhand State Cricket Association) passed away due to heart attack. He passed away at the not too old age of 62 and will be remembered for his role in the Ranchi Cricket. So, why was he famously known for?
He was known for playing an instrumental role in shifting the Ranchi cricket base (headquarters) from Jamshedpur to Ranchi. If you look at the Ranchi stadium, it is a world class stadium with a lot of international matches being held during his time, which is also named after him.
After leaving his closed family and friends in shock, the treasurer of BCCI offered his condolences to his family taking it to twitter stating,
Amitabh’s contribution to the game of cricket in Jharkhand was immense. He will be missed by JSCA and it will be difficult to fill the void left by him in Jharkhand. I offer my condolences to his family, friends and well-wishers,
The former specialist spin bowler Harbhajan shocked by the news said,
Shocked to know about sudden demise of former acting secretary of @BCCI & former president of JSCA, Shri Amitabh Choudhary. As an able cricket administrator, he has left his imprint on the game. My condolences to his family & relatives. May his soul rest in peace

He played a huge role in not only setting up an international stadium in Ranchi but also was one of the key people in backing MS Dhoni in the circuit. His image and identity was so great that even the Chief minister of Jharkhand could not resist himself in offering his condolences to his family.
