Ukraine will now face Wales on Sunday and the winning team will make it to the Qatar World Cup in November.

Team’s experienced captain Andrey Yarmalenko gave the team an early lead in the 33rd minute by scoring the first strong goal. Ukrainian footballers poured their spirits into the match in the first half. In the opening minute of the second half (49th minute), Roman Yarmechuk scored from a header thanks to a brilliant shot from captain Andrey to take the lead 2-0. When the goal was scored, about three thousand Ukrainian spectators out of the 51 thousand spectators in the stadium celebrated with enthusiasm and waved their flags in the air.

Scotland scored the only goal
In the 79th minute of the match, Colm McGrogor of Scotland scored the first goal for the team. After this, Artem Dovbyk’s goal in the last minute of the match ensured the victory of the Ukrainian team. All the players sat on the ground looking at the sky and started celebrating.

The Scottish fans present in the stadium also applauded and greeted the victory. Later players from the Ukraine team circled the field with their blue and yellow national flags. When Ukraine’s national anthem was sung ahead of the match, Scottish fans also joined in to sing their message of solidarity.
