The former world cup winning captain of the Indian team Kapil Dev has recently looked very Stonge with his comments for Virat Kohli. Everybody knows Virat Kohli is struggling with his form and is being struggling for 2-3 years now. But now it seems that even the veteran players are losing their patience on Kohli.
While speaking to ABP news recently, the former cricketer Kapil Dev said,
If world No. 2 bowler Ashwin can be dropped from the Test side, then (once upon a time) world No. 1 batter can also be dropped
Kapil Dev feels that there should be healthy competition and the Indian selectors should not go with the reputation of players but for the players those who are performing. He also added,
I want competition for places in the team in a positive sense that these youngsters should try and outperform Virat
The point made by Kapil sound absolutely clear because when we look at the regular players like Virat Kohli, Rohit, Rishabh Pant these players are inconsistent on a regular basis especially Kohli who’s inconsistency is going to make a new record for himself.
Kapil suggests that Virat Kohli should be dropped and young blood should be given chance. He said,
Yes, now the situation is such that you might be forced to bench Kohli from T20 playing eleven.
The world cup is on the verge of start shortly, and all the senior players such as the name suggests above are not consistent and if the same show carry’s on, the forget winning world cup, surviving in simple looking matches can be a great problem.
