Actress Deepika Padukone will unveil the FIFA World Cup 2022 trophy during the final which is scheduled to be held at Lusail Stadium on December 18 this month. According to reports, the Bollywood star will fly to Qatar to be a special guest of the ongoing multinational tournament.(Read Also: ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023: Update about All Squads)
If the reports are believed, Deepika became the first global actor to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals.
The reports stated that it is the first or one of the biggest honours for any Indian film celebrity in FIFA World Cup history.
Earlier, Deepika Padukone has presented India at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival where she turned jury member. She is also one of the top Indian actresses who has endorsed some of the biggest international fashion brands like- Louis Vuitton, Levi’s, Tetley Green Tea, Lloyd, L’Oreal Paris, etc.
Coming to the FIFA World Cup 2022, the final is scheduled to be held at the iconic Lusail Stadium on December 18 this month. However, at the present round of 16 in the knockout session is going on. Quarter-finals will start on December 9 and will run till December 11. Thereafter, Semi-finals will be played among four teams on December 14 and 15.
Talking about Deepika’s appearance in the film, she will soon be seen in ‘Pathaan’ with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Fighter’ with actor Hrithik Roshan. Also in ‘Project K’ with South Indian star Prabhas and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.
