The Indian woman pacer Renuka Singh Thakur made some fresh records at Edgbaston ground against Barbados Women on Thursday. Thakur, the Indian woman pacer moved to the top in the highest wicket-taker index after picking 4 wickets. Thakur (4/10 of 4 ov) wreaked havoc on the Barbados team through her smooth bowling. Thakur also booked a record on her name as the first woman bowler who took four wickets two times in a match till now in Birmingham Commonwealth Games-2022.
Earlier, She picked 4 wickets against Australia in the opening cricket match of the CWG-2022 as well as the Group A first match. Thakur was placed in the second position having 5 wickets when India defeated Pakistan. But Now she moved to the top in the highest wicket-taker list with a total of 9 wickets after the match against Barbados. I Ranaweera of Sri Lanka in the second position with 6 wickets and HNK Jensen of New Zealand Women is placed in the third position with 4 wickets.
