Cricket Australia unveil indigenous kit for T20 World Cup 2022

The T20 World Cup 2022 host Australia unveiled their men’s national team’s jersey for the World Cup that is scheduled to start on October 16 and will continue till November 13. Cricket Australia informed about the new indigenous kit on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday, September 13.

 The jersey features black sleeves and a green and gold gradient on the trunk of the playing top. It also features the Walkabout Wickets artwork. The kit has been designed by Kirrae Whurrong woman Aunty Fiona Clarke, in collaboration Butchulla and Gubbi Gubbi woman Courtney Hagan.

While sharing the jersey picks, Cricket Australia wrote on twitter,

Our men’s national team will don a new uniform designed by Kirrae Whurrong woman Aunty Fiona Clarke, in collaboration Butchulla and Gubbi Gubbi woman Courtney Hagan, when they defend their @T20WorldCup title on home soil next month.

Earlier, Cricket Australia announced its squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 on August 31.

Australia’s squad for T20 World Cup 2022: Aaron Finch (C), Pat Cummins (VC), Ashton Agar, Tim David, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Kane Richardson, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa.
