Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty shared a secret message the day after her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, became the eye of the IPL storm. Last week, the fans of the league were shocked when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjeev Goenka shouted loudly at KL Rahul. The captain of the team, following a poor defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). A video that went viral shows Goenka and Rahul in a passionate conversation. Many felt that the LSG owner was giving Rahul an earful.
While Goenka was criticized by fans for his behavior, neither Suniel Shetty nor Athiya Shetty spoke about the turn of events. However, on Monday, Athiya shared a message that spoke of “the calm after the storm.” Taking to her Instagram Story, Athiya shared a photo of the sun shining through a cloud-filled sky and wrote:
“The calm after the storm.”
Although Rahul has yet to comment on the incident. LSG assistant coach Lance Klusner shared his thoughts on the special moment ahead of their upcoming match against Delhi Capitals. The former South African international was keen on the conversation between the two. He was quoted by PTI at the pre-match press conference as saying. “I don’t see any problem in the heated discussion between the two cricket lovers. For us, it’s a storm in a teacup. It’s not a big deal for us”.
Meanwhile, KL Rahul was not chosen either to be part of the T20 World Cup team. The team is expected to go to the United States and the Antilles for the series, under the captain of Rohit Sharma.
Athiya married Rahul in 2023, after dating a woman for almost five years. The wedding took place at Suniel Shetty’s farm in Khandala, which was held in a joint ceremony. Posting their wedding photos on Instagram, the couple made their marriage public last year. In the letter they shared, they expressed: “In your light, I am learning to love… Today, with those closest to us, we got married in a house that brought us great joy and heart calm down. With hearts full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of unity.
