NEW DELHI: India’s men’s hockey platoon, led by captain Harmanpreet Singh and bolstered by Mandeep Singh’s chapeau- trick, displayed their dominance as they secured a resounding 16- 1 palm against Singapore at the Asian Games. This triumph pronounced India’s alternate successive palm in the competition, following their earlier 16- 0 rout of Uzbekistan.
Despite their status as the top- ranked platoon, India approached the game with determination, showcasing their grim thing- scoring capability against the 49th- ranked Singapore team.
