India and Pakistan will meet at the same venue Dubai International Stadium, in the super 4 round of Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, September 3. The two teams qualified for the super four from Group A, India won both two league matches, while Pakistan won only one against Hong Kong on Friday by a whooping 155 runs. Dominating India is likely to steam roll Pakistan.
Aside from their players though, the captains-Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam would also want to manage the over rate more proactively. Especially after the league match that conspired last Sunday between both arch-rivalry teams at the Dubai International Stadium.
During their Group A match at the tournament, both India and Pakistan were penalized for not finishing their quota of 20 overs in the stipulated International Cricket Council (ICC) time frame, owing to a newly introduced clause for T20Is. As a result, both were hence forced to field an extra player inside the 30-yard circle for the final over of each innings.
India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja managed to score as they hit 33 runs in the last three overs of the game and took India to a thrilling view victory against Pakistan. Experts assumed that the turmoil in the last over came to view only due to fielding restrictions which is ICC’s new important clause for T20Is.
In this order, both arch-rivalry teams will reunite having the mindset to trounce each other. Pakistan is expected to take revenge on India as they lost their first battle while dominating India and would be seen doing a cricket surgery over Pakistan through its world-class batter, bowlers, and all-rounders.
In the match, the dominating India also would be missing its prior hero all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as he has been ruled out with wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant.
