The Asian Cricket Cup (ACC) has given its clearance for the matches to take place, and they will be held after a four-year hiatus. The terrible COVID-19 Pandemic, which interrupted not just the Asia Cup but all other pre-planned programmes for the year, is to blame for such a large half. The team that qualified in the previous set will be included in the main six teams that will compete in the next round.
All 6 teams will compete in a total of 13 matches. The whole schedule for the Asia Cup 2022 has yet to be determined, but the first match will most likely be between Sri Lanka, which has the honour of hosting the tournament, and the defending champion, India, which overcame the runner-team up’s Bangladesh by three tuns to win the Asia Cup last year.
To remind you all, India is dominating the Asia Cup Series by winning it 7 times whereas Sri Lanka is on the second spot by winning it 5-times.
