Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, has made R Praggnanadhaa’s parents dream of owning an electric car come true.
The Mahindra XUV4OO is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh to 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in two versions and offers two battery options. The small battery has a capacity of 34.5 kWh and can travel up to 375 kilometers per charge. The larger battery, at 39.4 kWh, provides a claimed range of 456 km. The EC model offers two charging options: 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW. Meanwhile, the EL model comes with a 7.2 kW charger.
R Praggnanadhaa thanked Mahindra and X for this generous donation. R Praggnanadhaa, the youngest player to reach the Chess World Cup final, on Tuesday, shared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) showing his family in the new Mahindra XUV4OO. In his comment, he expressed his gratitude to Anand Mahindra saying, “Received XUV 4OO. My parents are very happy, thank you Anand Mahindra sir.”
