Pakistan fast bowler Aamer Jamal lauds skipper Babar Azam for backing him thoroughly during the last over of Pakistan vs England fifth T20 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday. On debut, Jamal was given responsibility to defend 15 runs in the final over of the game, and he did his job with sheer precision as Pakistan defeated England by 6 runs.
“Before the last over, Babar bhai asked me to bowl wide Yorkers. He gave me the fields and asked me not to deviate from the plan even if I bowled a wide. The plans paid off thanks to god,” Jamal said during a interview.
