It seems that many are still not happy with the win Indian collected against Ireland in the two-match T20I series. Even though team India has won the match, comments and reactions through Twitter and other social media haven’t stopped pouring, some are speaking in favor of India, and some were seen heaping praise on the Irish team calling it a ‘win with barest of margins.’
After winning the toss, the India team came out to batt with their two-star batters Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan, but Ishan in order to sum up the total, failed miserably and made 3 off 5 deliveries.
Once after the dismissal and failed innings by Ishan, it was time for another star batter, Deepak Hooda to call out his shots, which indeed he did well. Deepak Hooda (104 off 57 balls) was the main attraction of the show as he did last time. Deepak with help of Sanju Samson (77 off 42) on the other side smashed the ball at every corner of the ground and assisted their team to a massive total of 225/7 till the end.
In response to the given target, Ireland sent two batsmen in the form of Paul Stirling (40 off 18 balls) and captain Andrew Balbirnie (60 off 37 balls). Considering their role important, both the batsmen gave a tough competition to the Indians. But it wasn’t the only two to deliver the fight, it was Harry Tector (39 off 28), George Dockrell (34* off 16 deliveries), and Mark Adair (23 off 12 deliveries) who fought like warriors till the end and missing by 4 runs.
What was then, despite winning the game veterans like Ajit Agarkar, Ajay Jadeja, and Graeme Swann came forward providing their standard speech and lecturing that how India could have done well or they were lucky sort comments
Ajit Agarkar said,
“After that partnership between Hooda and Samson, Ireland picked 6 wickets in the last four overs. They pulled back momentum with the ball and then this sublime batting. It was a good pitch; the stadium was not big enough. But this is a good Indian team, and to perform like this against them will give Ireland a lot of confidence. Brilliant show,”
Echoing What Ajit has said, without any delay another comment came in the form of Ajay Jajeda who called the innings from India to be a luckier one. Look at what he said,
“It was closer than I would have liked it to be. I think India got away today. They are really lucky to have got away with a win,”
Mohammed kaif was the king in all the comments presented above and discredited the Indian side purely saying that by winning just by 4 runs, the credit should be given to the chasing team.
It is true that someone said that you cannot make everyone happy in this world and the same proverb or statement applies in this situation over here as well.
We have only one thing to say to the ones who are not satisfied with winning,
‘A win is a win, whether it by a few inches or a kilometer, take it or leave it
