- Misbah Ul Haq, the former player of the Pakistan team comes in support of Virat Kohli
- Mishbah believes it is the mental aspect which is affecting Virat’s batting line-up
Mishbah Ul Haq states ‘Mental Issue or aspect” behind Virat’s non-performance. The former player of the Pakistan Cricket team, came forward in support of Virat Kohli when asked whether or not in absence of Rohit Sharma, he can be given the role of Captaincy. In response, Misbah Ul haq said,
“Virat Kohli is already struggling with his batting and top of that if he’s again asked to handle the captaincy probably it will not work out.”
He further added,
“Without troubling Virat Kohli, he should be left alone”
The candid conversation with Misbah-Ul-Haq was took by Vikrant Gupta through his YouTube Channel, ICA Sports.
While continuing about the topic related to Mental aspect of Virat Kohli, he continued.
“Mental aspects include many things, some of the technical issues are related, mainly related to your Mental condition, how the mind is working or what kind of pressures is the one taking and what else is going on. Batting is an automation, reaction and it the decision making. Suppose if you are learning to drive manually then for some days it becomes problematic to understand that to when press the clutch or when to press the race and when to change the gear”
Using the beautiful analogy above, Misbah said, Batting is exactly like driving a car.
“When you are in automation mode everything’s go well and smooth, you muscle memory, your rhythm, one has clarity and all things works together automatically”
He also said that everything starts from brain and if there is to much of noise going on than the coordination between the mind and the body gets hampered disturbing your entire rhythm irrespective to how mentally strong a person is, if the mind and body coordination is not their things doesn’t work out.
