Let us have a look at each semi-final match to know their winning stories in some detail:

Semi-final 1 highlights:

Australia has reached a seventh consecutive T20 World Cup final but not without an almighty fight from India. The Indian team came five runs short in a thrilling semi-final in Cape Town on 23rd February. The periphery of defeat is four runs lower than it was at the Commonwealth Games final last time. That will be little consolation for India, who came agonizingly close while chasing 173. They were clumsy in the field, and conceded at least 15 runs through defeats and misfields. They also dropped two pivotal catches- of Meg Lanning on 1 and Beth Mooney on 32 runs. They were inversely nervy between the wickets. Two pivotal run-outs downsized their chase including that of Harmanpreet Kaur, which led to India’s slide.

The Indian captain was ill on the dusk of the match and hospitalized with a fever. Still, she faced up to lead her side. It was an attempt to took them home. After a poor launch that left India on 28 for 3 in the fourth over, Harmanpreet participated in a 69- run fourth- wicket alliance with Jemimah Rodrigues. That brought up her first fifty of the event. She had slightly celebrated it when her team got stuck in the ground while sliding it for an alternate run. Alyssa Healy was quick to break the whole, getting India’s remaining side to get 40 runs off the last 32 balls.

Semi-final 2 highlights:

South Africa upset England by six runs to reach its first Women’s T20 World Cup final on Friday.

Cleft Ayabonga Khaka and Shabnim Ismail participated seven wickets for the host team and kept an important English line-up at bay. South Africa will face Australia in Sunday’s final. They have the chance of doing more than their men’s team never achieved so far-winning the world cup.

It will be also Khaka took three wickets in the 18th over and finished with 4- 29, tearing through England’s middle order. In those six balls when they looked on course to successfully chase down South Africa’s 164-4.

Khaka has changed this semi-final on its head. She has picked up three wickets in one over. This looks like a tough task for England from then. It seems like Australia is going to meet South Africa in the final. The South African bowlers have executed their plans beautifully. But it was just a 6 runs victory for hosts, too.
