FIFA chief Infantino might call on PM Modi next month to discuss Indian football

International football governing body FIFA President Gianni Infantino might visit India next month and call on PM Modi to discuss the current standing of Indian Football. The news emerged after the executive committee meeting of the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) in Kolkata on Monday this week. Infantino’s visit, if it takes place, will coincide with the final leg of the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the country in October.
