Team India will be roaring in T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia as pace spearhead Jaspreet Bumrah and Harshal Patel have recovered from their injuries, now included in the 15-member squad for the World Cup. The national selectors brought these top players back as they did not want to take risks as India faced in the recently finished Asia Cup 2022 in UAE. The selectors chose these stars to play safe while naming the above squad for the multi-national level championship.
After announcing the squad for T20 World Cup, chief selectors Chetan Sharma and his colleagues, along with team India captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, met virtually to also pick the 16-member India squads for the forthcoming T20I series at home against Australia (three matches beginning with the first on September 20 in Mohali) and South Africa (three matches starting with the September 28 in Thiruvananthpuram).
The T20 World Cup 2022 will start on October 16 and will continue till November 13. Team India will start their campaign for World Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23, and will face South Africa on October 30, then, against Bangladesh on November, thereafter, will play a qualifier on November 6 in Melbourne.
Rohit Sharma will lead the team, and KL Rahul will play his assistance’s role (vc), as India retained almost the entire top-order which played in the T20 World Cup in UAE, where the team crashed out before the semi-finals.
