On Saturday, England’s Barmy Army tweeted, “1000 days, seemingly pointing to former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who has not scored an International Century for 1000 days. Soon after their tawdry tweet, Indian fans lashed out at them and started trolling whole Barmy Army. A few minutes later, the Twitter war went viral on social media.
Indian Twitter users answered them in one line, 3,532 days since England last won any format series against India in Indian Land.
one Indian user replied, 1438 days since England won series in any format against India.
Another wrote, Jason Roy + Bairstow + Buttler+ Strokes = 59 international centuries… and Kohli = 70 centuries.
Another user replied, “King is always King.”
Within a few minutes, the social media war between both nations’ Twitter users went viral. Later, Indian mainstream media also reported the news.
Kohli, the Indian star batter, who is facing criticism for his performance for a few months has been included in Indian Squad for the upcoming Asia Cup-2022. Many Indian critics assumed that he will show definitely his stardom in Asia Cup. The above tournament is scheduled to take place in UAE and start on August 27 to till September 11. Team India will be playing their first match on August 28 against their arch-rival Pakistan.
