Kiran More on Hardik Pandya: Former wicket-keeper batsman Kiran More has praised Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya, who won the IPL trophy. He has described Pandya as a ‘4-dimensional’ cricketer. He has said that earlier Pandya was a 3-dimensional cricketer i.e. he used to do batting, bowling and fielding all well but now the captaincy dimension has also been added to it. Along with this, More has also narrated an old anecdote related to Hardik. While narrating this anecdote, More told that Hardik had a hunger for cricket from the beginning.
More says, ‘Krunal had joined my academy and Hardik used to come with him. He used to run behind the net and catch the ball. Then I told Krunal to bring it on the net. This was the time when I saw the hunger for cricket in his eyes.
More says, ‘The way Gujarat Titans played cricket in IPL 2022 was amazing. Especially the way Hardik lifted the trophy while captaining, it was worthy of praise. His individual performance was also excellent. It’s not easy to just go straight and lead a new team and win the championship.
Hardik’s captaincy was in doubt before IPL 2022
